Abstract
The 1964–1965 excavations at Snaketown have verified and augmented the results obtained by Gila Pueblo in 1934–1935. Numerous house floors, wells, pits, cremations, a crematory area, trash mounds, platform mounds and canals were located as well as an abundance of ceramic and artifactual material. There were limited excavations in adjacent Classic Period sites and canals. The analysis and description of all of these materials proceeds at the present time. It is expected that relationships with Mexican and other Southwestern groups will be clarified.
