Abstract
Fetuses from sows maintained on diets of natural foodstuffs weighed approximately the same whether the diet contained 6 or 100 ppm of manganese. Manganese in the maternal serum was related to the dietary level of manganese and 60, 80 and 110 day fetuses from sows on the higher level of dietary manganese contained significantly more manganese than fetuses from sows on the lower level. Three hours after administration of radiomanganese detectable amounts were present in the 110 day pig fetus. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
