Abstract
A rather far reaching assumption is implied in writing the above title. Is it indeed possible to treat “mucus” as a unique secretion whose properties in health and disease can be discussed in a single context, i.e. without reference to its origin, to its detailed function or to the kind of disease which may affect its proper action. Is mucus, even in principle, the same everywhere? Keywords
