Abstract
In 1584 gravid females examined for the presence of leukoagglutinins 25.6% of all of the sera contained agglutinating antibodies to white cells. The frequency of these varied in direct proportion to the degree of parity of the women. A sample of 720 sera were tested for the presence of both white cell and red cell antibodies. Since there was no relationship between the production of the 2 types of antibodies the transplacental leakage of fetal erythrocytes and leukocytes and material isoimmunization with these antigens is likely to be a random event. Keywords
