Measures of Outcome: For Whom?

Abstract

There is an increasing demand to provide measures of outcome. This article outlines different perspectives on the concept of measures of outcome and considers issues that complicate the practical use of such measures. It is argued that the ultimate responsibility for the development of measures of outcome must remain with the therapist.
