Abstract
This paper describes a new dual-labelling technique to measure the relative assimilation efficiency of invertebrates taking up the trace metal zinc from food. The technique has the potential to be extended to other metals. The method relies on the comparison of the ratios in the food and faeces of a non-assimilated metal isotope (60Co) to a metal isotope with the potential to be assimilated (65Zn).This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
