Abstract
An interferometer is described for the measurement of beam dividing surfaces. The apparatus consists essentially of the elements for a Twyman-Green interferometer. The end mirrors are made of optical glass and the reflecting surfaces of these mirrors transmit a part of the beam. The advantages of the instrument are (a) a sensitivity (n+1) times that of the Fizeau viewer, which is usually used for this test, (b) compactness, and (c) ruggedness. Keywords
