Abstract
The in vitro addition of digitalis glycosides to specific and non-specific cholinesterase failed to produce any inhibition of the enzyme activity. The serum cholinesterase activity of cats was not altered by lethal doses of digitoxin. It is concluded that cardiac slowing by digitalis is not due to cholinesterase inhibition. Keywords
