Abstract
The longitudinal-torsional composite transducer is proposed where both longitudinal and torsional piezoelectric elements are provided in the transducer and the two vibration modes of the transducer have the same resonance frequency. Two kind of composite transducers are designed and studied experimentally to work well. One of the transducers is proved to be successfully used for an ultrasonic motor. Keywords
