Abstract

Nonrelativistic energies and mass-polarization shifts of excited

S

states of

{Li}^{+}

were calculated with 31- to 70-term Rayleigh-Ritz expansions in coordinates

r_{1}

,

r_{2}

,

r_{12}

. Comparison with experiment, based on very crude estimates of relativistic shifts, indicates agreement within about 1

{cm}^{- 1}

.
