Abstract
A relatively complete shell of a giant land tortoise, Geochelone sp., from the Middle Miocene Wood Mountain Formation of Saskatchewan further documents records heretofore based on fragments. The occurrence of this tortoise in fossil deposits in Canada has previously been interpreted as indicating a subtropical climate in the Middle Miocene. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
