Abstract
The juvenile N. emydis is descr. from the fresh-water snails, Campeloma rufum and Ceriphasia semicarinata, from Kentucky. Two types of anterior proboscis hooks are descr.: one larger and thicker and the other shorter and thinner. One of the former is set between and a little lower on the proboscis than 2 of the latter, forming a triangle. A similar pattern was observed in adult N. emydis as well as other spp. of the genus. Infection of snail host apparently is greater in late summer than in midwinter and spring. Keywords
