Abstract
An exact solution is presented for the steady−state motion of a sinusoidally excited single−degree−of−freedom system exhibiting bilinear hysteresis and subjected to viscous damping that may be different in the ’’elastic’’ region from the ’’yielded’’ region. Subject Classification: 40.20.
