Abstract
108 carious and noncarious first permanent molar teeth were sealed with Nuva‐Seal®. Presealant and the latest postsealant radiographs were rated for occlusal caries penetration for time intervals from 2 to 5 years. With sealants that were sound at the most recent recall visit, there was a significant decrease in the rating of caries penetration. With sealants evaluated as being defective, there was a slight increase in caries penetration. Keywords
