Abstract
Scanning electron microscope observations of the frontal papillae and peribuccal cuticle of four species of raillietiellid pentastomids have shown an array of sensilla which are grouped in characteristic patterns. The arrangement of sensilla is remarkably uniform within the species studied and it cannot be used in specific diagnosis. Possible functions are suggested. This publication has 16 references indexed in Scilit:
