Abstract
Acute, fatal agranulocytic angina developed in a 58 yr. old [male] who had chronic leukopenia (W.B.C. 800-2650) for 41/2 yrs. There had been no anemia and the white cells were relatively and qualitatively normal. The absence of a known cause (drugs) in the acute exacerbation suggested that agranulocytic angina develops when bone marrow dyscrasia has been present previously. Keywords
