Abstract
The measured distributions of the charge density induced on a tubular cylinder at successively different locations in the standing-wave pattern in -the parallel-plate region of an EMP simulator are compared with the theoretical distributions when the exciting field is an ideal traveling plane wave. The measurements have been made specifically at the "notch" frequency when an extremely deep minimum exists in the standing wave in the simulator. Substantil differences are observed and discussed. Keywords
