Leptonic branching ratio of theϒ(2S)

Abstract

Using the CLEO magnetic detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring, we find

B (ϒ (2 S) \to μ^{+} μ^{-}) = 0.018 \pm 0.008 (s t a t i s t i c a l) \pm 0.005 (s y s t e m a t i c)

and

B (ϒ (2 S) \to τ^{+} τ^{-}) = 0.017 \pm 0.015 \pm 0.006
