Abstract
The results of elastic polarized neutron diffuse scattering measurements on two bcc Fe-Cu alloys with 3.89 at % and 6.29 at % of Cu are reported. The magnetic diffuse cross section is strongly peaked at low values of scattering vector k indicating a strong magnetic moment disturbance extended fairly in the space up to about 15Å. Analysis of the data indicates that the iron moment is nearly constant with a slight tendency to increase with impurity concentration. For copper we find a small positive magnetic moment at 6.29 at % of Cu and no moment at 3.89 at % of Cu.This publication has 12 references indexed in Scilit:
