Abstract
Alfalfa infested as 325 spotted alfalfa aphids (Therioaphis maculata (Buekton)) per sweep in the fall after the last cutting had been removed was treated with malathion and BHC at 1 ld. and ⅜ lb. gamma isomer per acre, respectively. Excellent control resulted. Analysis of alfalfa pellets from the first cutting the following sprint.( showed protein 2% higher and carotene 3 mg. per 100 grams higher in the treated plot. No increase in yield resulted from the fall treatment. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
