Abstract
The particle density of a simple model of the exosphere is obtained by solving exactly the collisionless Boltzmann equation. The main point of the solution is that it is a discontinuous, multivalued function of the constants of motion. Results, of course, agree with those of other methods based on Newtonian mechanicsKeywords
