Abstract
Ozonation of textile industrial wastewaters was examined in CSTR and batch studies. Experiments were done for various types of textile wastewaters and for different reaction and retention times. Much better results were obtained using ozonation after the coagulation-precipitation stage. Also a mathematical model was developed, able to describe wastewater decolonization and COD reduction. In all cases the comparison between the model predictions and the experimental data was satisfactory.Keywords
