Abstract
Tests conducted in the Niagara and Georgian Bay fruit-growing areas for the past 3 years have indicated that pollen distributed from inserts placed at the entrances of honeybee colonies is effective as a means of cross-pollinating tree fruits. This technique is particularly useful in seasons when honeybee foraging activities are limited by unfavourable weather, or in plantings where a sufficient number of pollinator varieties for natural cross-pollination have not been provided. Keywords
