Abstract
Continuing advances in biomedical knowledge result in rapid changes in health care, which in turn necessitate lifelong learning for all health care professionals. Approaches to meeting this need for continuing education have been many and varied. Evaluation of the impact of both short and long term continuing education in the practice setting are not without problems and therefore rarely done. The absence of this evaluative data makes decisions about the best continuing education approach difficult. This article reports on an evaluation of both the effectiveness and continuing need for a six-month Cardiovascular Nurse Specialty Program. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
