An Extended Observation of Cen X-3 with the Ariel-5 Sky Survey

Abstract
A continuous observation of Cen X-3 over 8 cycles of the binary period was carried out in 1974 November with the Leicester Sky Survey experiment on board the Ariel-5 satellite. During these observations the source was seen to change from a low to a high intensity state and evidence is found for X-ray attenuation by both the primary stellar wind and the accretion wake formed beyond the neutron star.
