Abstract
Microscopic and histochemical examination of the excretory system of larvae, pupae, and early adults of an endoparasitic braconid revealed at least two "storage" excretion mechanisms; one involves the fatbody which stores urates, the other involves the midgut cells which store insoluble metallic salts. The sequence of events that occur in the various excretory organs during metamorphosis is described. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
