Abstract
Immunoglobulin levels in 'children with persistent and non-persistent giardiasis were compared with age and sex matched normal controls. The levels of immunoglobulin A in infected children were significantly lower than the control group. Levels of immunoglobulin A were significantly lower in children with persistent giardiasis compared to non-persistent group, and both the groups had lower IgG levels compared to the controls. No significant difference was observed with regard to IgM levels. Keywords
