Abstract
The x-ray wave fields due to a spherical wave are obtained in transmission (Laue) cases for absorbing perfect crystals on the basis of the dynamical diffraction theory. The conventional approximations assuming small absorption compared with extinction due to the Bragg reflection are eliminated. The formulas obtained are the same in form as those obtained previously for nonabsorbing crystals [N. Kato, Acta Cryst. 14, 627 (1961)], provided that the polarizability of the absorbing crystals is assumed to be complex. The intensity fields, the effective absorption coefficients, and the deviation of the positions of the Pendellösung fringes are discussed. This publication has 12 references indexed in Scilit:
