Abstract
Five species ofNymphaeaceae, representing four genera, were collected from various sites in New Jersey and their tissues analyzed for 12 elements. Three species were separated into leaf blades and petioles before the mineral analyses were made. Variations in the concentrations of many elements were noted between these two structures. Except for the petioles of these three species, the N content of the plants appeared to be sufficiently high so that no extra N would be required to prepare composts from them. Keywords
