Abstract

Complete potential energy curves are computed for the ³Π_0⁺u states of Cl₂ and Br₂ by the Rydberg-Klein-Rees method using spectroscopic data. The reduced potential curves are drawn and the principle of corresponding states is found to hold for these two states.
