Abstract
Carbanions of benzodithiolane monosulfoxides in the reaction with nitroarenes replace hydrogen o-/p- to the nitro group via oxidation of the σH adducts with the sulfoxide oxygen atom, whereas open chain analogue reacts along the vicarious nucleophilic substitution pathway.Keywords
