Spectrum of Casimir Invariants for the Simple Classical Lie Groups

Abstract
The spectra of the Casimir invariants for the classical compact simple Lie groups are presented. It is proved that these invariants are irreducible and functionally independent. The highest weight of a representation is determined in terms of its invariant spectrum.Keywords
