Abstract
Summary: Two serological reactions have been described. The first reaction involves the inhibition of the hemagglutination test for rheumatoid arthritis by including human plasma Fraction II as a reagent. In the second reaction, the serum from individuals with active peripheral rheumatoid arthritis specifically agglutinated tannic acid-treated sheep erythrocytes sensitized with Fraction II. The heterogenic relationship of the reactants involved as well as the antigen-antibody-like character of these reactions are discussed. Keywords
