Abstract
Several researchers over the past 10 to 15 yr. have explored the relations among personality, athletic participation, and performance. More recently, research has focused on the relationship between mood states (transitory subjective feelings, emotions, or affect) and athletics. The purpose of this study was to explore this relationship in karate practitioners. Analysis indicated that successful competitors were significantly more angry than less successful competitors. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
