Abstract
A series of cultures antigenically related to S. para-dysenteriae Boyd type P274 showed serol. differences between type P274 strains; a common antigen between type P274 and a slow lactose-fermenting gas-producing paracolon organism; serol. relationship to S. alkalescens and other antigenically identical but biochemically different organisms including an acetylmethylcarbinol producer; serol. relationship of type P274 to new bio-types of a previously described sero-type of coliform organism; relationship to a new sero-type of S. paradysenteriae (strain 2370); and serol. relationship to an organism of S. alkalescens bio-type, but not sero-type, closely allied serologically to S. dispar and S. paradysenteriae type P143.Keywords
