Abstract
Hindered rotation around the S2CNR2 bond of N,N,N′,N′‐tetra‐alkylthiuram disulfides is observed by NMR. The assumption that oxidation of bis‐dithiocarbamato complexes of Zn, Cd and Hg yield thiuram disulfide complexes of these metals is confirmed by the NMR spectra which reveal a magnetic non‐equivalence of the N‐alkyl groups. It is proposed that the metals in these complexes are tetrahedrally surrounded by two halogen and two sulfur atoms. Keywords
