Abstract
In a preceding paper the melting- and pour-points of several homologeous series of liquid crystals were measured up to 3 kbar.1 Thereby it was found, that e.g. in the series of benzylidene-butylanilines the pourpoint temperature T c and the slope (dp c/dT c) of the transition curve isotropic/nematic alternate with increasing chainlength, whereas the melting temperature increases continuously. Keywords
