Abstract
Case management—emphasizing coordination of services to individual clients—has become a familiar component in the service delivery for community-based long-term care. The resource dependence theory of interorganizational relationships suggests guidelines for an expanded role that highlights case managers' allocation of resources and potential for intervention in local delivery systems. Keywords
