Abstract
The linear growth and skeletal maturation of 19 boys with isolated gonadotropin deficiency, including 4 with anosmia (Kallmann''s syndrome), are presented. The low plasma lutropin and follitropin levels did not rise on repeated lutropin-releasing hormone stimulation. With the exception of 1 prepubertal-age boy (.ltoreq. 10 yr) and 5 pubertal-age boys (> 10 yr), all heights were within normal limits, but below the 50th percentile. With 1 exception, the bone age was retarded in all boys, even in prepuberty.
