Comment on the Parameters of the 3-3 Resonance

Abstract
We exhibit a simple 3-parameter formula for the phase shift of the 3-3 pion-nucleon resonance which yields a mass parameter M=1243 MeV, and a width parameter Γ=152 MeV, values considerably higher than previously obtained. However, the position of the pole of the amplitude is Epole=121151i MeV, a value close to that found by Ball, Campbell, Lee, and Shaw. Our result lends support to their conclusion that Epole is the relevant quantity, rather than the parameters entering a phenomenological formula for the 3-3 phase shift.
