Abstract
A physiognomic vegetation map of Australia, based on structural characteristics, rather than on floristic composition, is presented. Symbols and formulae are used to indicate structural features. The merits and shortcomings of the map are noted. The map is intended to facilitate the comparison of the vegetation in different areas and to provide a basis for investigating the causes of distributional phenomena. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
