Abstract
Follow-up of 1700 homeless alcoholics dealt with by the Counseling Center of the Mayor''s Rehabilitation Committee on Skid Row problems in Detroit. The "success ratio" was 9 per cent. Factors linked to success were inner resources, favorable attitudes, and prolonged contact with the Center.Keywords
