Abstract
Plasma‐initiated polymerization is applied to acrylamide both in solid state and in solution. The effect of the amount of water, in addition to certain operational parameters such as applied vacuum, post polymerization period, and temperature, are well verified. Characteristics of polymers are determined by IR spectroscopy and X‐ray diffraction studies as well as by intrinsic viscosity determinations. Keywords
