Abstract
The free-energy barrier heights between different "ground-state valleys" in configuration space are calculated by a new numerical method. The resulting relaxation times are so long that a decay of the freezing temperature to zero as predicted by static theories is not to be observed in experiments. The absence of a phase transition occurs therefore only in a mathemetical sense.
