Association of di-t-butyl nitroxide with Schardinger dextrins

Abstract
The e.s.r. spectra of di-t-butyl nitroxide in aqueous solutions of α- or β-dextrin show that the radical complexes with the dextrin and that exchange with the aqueous environment is relatively slow. The concentration quotient for a simple association equilibrium is not constant and a simple procedure for taking account of non-ideality is suggested, and works well.
