Abstract
A systematic approach to the diagnosis and treatment of angiofibromas [in humans] is presented. The distinction between true and false internal carotid supply to these tumors as well as identification of vascular anatomical variants that may represent potential hazards of embolization are emphasized. Arterial supply to the cranial nerves, prevention of neurologic complications and the use of inappropriate embolization materials are discussed.
