Abstract
Field test data for control of southern chinch bugs, Blissus insularis Barber, indicate that organophosphorus (OP) pesticides with ethyl or isopropyl alkyl side are generally more effective than OP’s with methyl side groups, Aryl derivatives, as a group, are more effective than heterocyclic or aliphatic derivatives, although the groups latter 2 groups also include OP’s which provide excellent control.
