Abstract
We have found a novel spontaneous-chiral-symmetry-breaking solution to the ladder Schwinger-Dyson equation for QED plus a chiral-invariant four-fermion interaction. The critical line is explicitly obtained in the plane of two coupling constants of gauge and four-fermion interactions. The existence of a dilaton pole has also been examined on the full critical line. Keywords
