Le régime alimentaire du Colobe bai au Sénégal

Abstract
The diet of the West African red colobus [Colobus badius] was studied in a dry forest in Senegal. During 12 mo. in 1975 and 1976, 1 group of 20 was observed. The red colobus were opportunistic feeders the diet of which included a large percentage of young parts of plants. The diet was rather frugivorous at the end of the rainy season and at the beginning of the dry season; during the other months the animals were leaf-eaters. There was no relation between diet, size of the troop and home range.
