Abstract

The longitudinal polarization of the muon emitted from the

K^{+} \to μ^{+} ν

decay was measured to search for the right-handed weak currents in the strangeness-changing process. The polarization was determined to be -0.970±0.047, which is consistent with the

V - A

hypothesis.
